Welcome To Greenbrier -Newcomers Map

If you are new to the area or interested in visiting and needed assistance in getting around, this interactive map could be of some help. The Greenbrier High School East Program partnered with The City of Greenbrier and Greenbrier Chamber of Commerce in mapping important places of interest. Students, Joshua Leverton and Sarah Pregeant updated existing listings with addresses, websites and photos while maintaining the locations and interactive map features.

Leverton wanted to do this project because he was interested in making maps that are helpful to people in our community. Earlier in the year he started to create a fishing attraction map that could help people know where to locate nesting spots. He shares, "I chose this project though because it helped more people in our community." Leverton is a sophomore at GHS and after graduation, he plans to attend University of Arkansas for engineering.

Community partner, Ashton Pruitt shares, "The EAST Program at Greenbrier High School was an important part of my education and upbringing. It inspired me to think outside of the box using my critical and creative thinking skills for community projects while in school. So, I was very excited to assist the students with their project. They did an amazing job, and I can't wait to see what they use their talents for next."
