City of Greenbrier issues BOIL ORDER -5/11/22

PRECAUTIONARY BOIL WATER NOTICE:


Greenbrier Water Department is issuing a Precautionary Boil Water Notice for

its customers.


The following areas are affected:

Briarwood Street, Briarwood Lane, Renea Drive, Autumn Hills, Hilltop Drive, Hickory,

Hillcrest, JR Circle, Ridge Drive, Pine Top Road, Heath Lane, Needs Creek Lane,

Needs Creek Rd, Needs Creek Heights, Wineglass Rd, Forsythia Ln

Wilderness Rd, Bell Circle, Foxhill Rd, Ball Hill Lane, Ball Hill Rd, Ball Hill Dr, Tracy Ln,

Lantern Lite Ln, Brannon Rd, Springhill Dr, N. Springhill Ln, Springhill, W.Buena Vista,

Kirby Dr, Wilcox Rd, Robin Cv, Robin Dr, Weaver Hgts


Reason for Notice:

This notice was issued as a precautionary measure because of the possibility that

contaminated water may have entered the distribution system as a result of partial loss

in the normal system pressure.


Customer Action:

Under the Boil Water notice, all affected customers are advised that the water may be

unsafe for human consumption, and water used for drinking or food preparation must be

boiled briskly for one (1) minute prior to use. All ice cubes should be discarded and only

boiled water used for making ice.


This notice will be lifted by the Department of Health when 2 sets of bacteriological

samples indicate that the water is free of bacterial contamination and an adequate

disinfectant level is established throughout the distribution system.
